Zetta Rae Stock, 88

Zetta Rae Stock, 88, of Newton, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 1, 2020, at home. A visitation will be held at the Killduff United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care, 107 North Main Street in Baxter on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter. Memorial contributions may be directed to Killduff United Methodist Church.

Zetta was the first daughter born to Charley James "CJ" and Hazel Mae (Beals) Butler on Jan. 20, 1931. She was welcomed into the family by two older brothers, Max and Rex, and she would welcome a baby sister Jena Mae into the family a couple of years later. She attended the Baxter Community Schools graduating with the Class of 1949. June 3, 1950, she entered into marriage with Eugene Myron Stock. To this union four boys were born: Kyle, Kirk, Kelly, and Kent. Zetta was a homemaker until 1969 when she went to work at Thomberts and then One-Minute, later known as Smith and Jones Factory in Kellogg. She retired after 25 years in 1994. She held part-time jobs with Maytag Cheese Farms and Rock Communication.

Zetta was a member of the Killduff United Methodist Church, Richland Grange, Jasper County Historical Museum, Jasper County Genealogical Society, Jasper County Cemetery Association, Kellogg Museum, and Lynnville Historical Society. Zetta had a knack for genealogy, producing volumes of history on the Butler/Beals side of the family.

Among the many friends and acquaintances she has made over the years, she leaves behind her family of four sons and their families: Kyle Stock of Oskaloosa and his family Ryan (Alisha) Stock and their children Hailey (Kenny) and daughter Kennly, Tyler Stock; Jason Stock and daughter Georgie; Eric Stock and children Ashley, Nate, Chance, and Aidan; Kirk (Bulah) Stock of Conway, AR, and his family Erika (Brad) Harlan and their children Wyatt Bradshaw, and Garrett Bradshaw; Kolby (April) Stock and their children Klara Belle, Kyson and Kort Stock; Kelly (Kim) Stock of Visalia, CA, and his family Kayla (Lance) Van Grouw, and Kolin Stock; and Kent Stock of Kellogg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene in 1985, brothers Max and Rex, and sister Jena Mae.

The family would like to thank the Mercy Hospice Team for their care. Special thanks to Kalie Winningham and Jana Snodgrass for the love and care they showed our mother the last couple of months.
