He was a member of Farm Bureau and the Iowa Beef Producers.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Van Ommen of Searsboro; his children Steve (Nicole) Van Ommen of Riverside and Amanda (Chris) Hagenow of Urbandale; his grandchildren Haley Holden, Eleanor Van Ommen, Owen Hagenow, Noah Hagenow, and Sophia Hagenow; his sister Wauneta (Fred) Davis of Newton; and his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Wiley was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wayne Van Ommen.
