Tressa Snook, 62

Tressa Snook, 62, of Searsboro, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Friends and family attended a graveside service held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 31, at Masonic Cemetery in Montezuma.

Tressa was born May 31, 1961, in Eldora to James F. and Mary (Figland) Stevens. She was raised in rural Lynnville, and she graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School. She received her associate’s degree from Ellsworth Community College. She was united in marriage to Ronald Case and to this union three daughters were born. She later divorced and lived in Searsboro, where she raised her three girls.

She worked at DeLong's Sportswear, RS Stover and Company, Farmer Nick's, and other jobs throughout her life. She loved to crochet. She made many afghans and dolls for her kids, grandkids, and friends. She also enjoyed spending time at Meskwaki Casino and Hotel with friends. She loved watching her grandchildren grow, and they were the light of her life.

Tressa is survived by her daughters Tabitha (Scott) Kriegel of Grinnell and their children Blaine and Alyssa, Tricia Walker of Searsboro and her children Aubrie Walker, Arianna Robinson, and Aaden Robinson, and Tonja (Tatum Stallings) Case of Lubbock, TX, and her children Wyatt Williams, Brynleigh Orozco, and Braxton Stallings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Rose Emery and Jim Stevens; and a nephew James Arthur Stevens.
