Sally Vander Leest, 63, of Spirit Lake, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at a hospital in Jasper, Alberta, Canada.
Visitation will be Friday, June 5, from 3-7 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at the Turner-Jenness Funeral Home, 1302 Hill Ave., Spirit Lake, IA 51360.
Funeral service will be Saturday, June 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the Good News Community Church, 1010 Julia St., Okoboji, IA 51355, with interment following at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake and a fellowship time following at the church. There will also be viewing one hour before the service at 9:30 a.m.
Among survivors are her husband Dave who was born and raised in this area and is a retired Reformed Church pastor living in Spirit Lake.
