The Rev. Paul Bakker, 86, of Orange City and former pastor of Sully Christian Reformed Church, passed away Feb. 5, 2016, at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, AZ. His daughter, Arloa (Kurt) Harthoorn, and their sons Joel and Nick and families of Sully are among survivors.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Revs. John Klompien and Alvin Kuiper will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation will be after 5:30 p.m. on Friday, with the family present from 5:30-8 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.
