The life for Randall Scott Icenbice began on June 13, 1969, in Pella. He was the son of Michael Eugene and Deyona Joy Menninga Icenbice. Randy attended grade school in Sully and graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School with the Class of 1988. During high school, Randy ran track and sang with the swing/show choir. It was apparent then that he enjoyed theater as he participated in school plays. Following his high school graduation, he attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, where he studied horticulture. Randy pursued employment with Bates Flowers in Grinnell and worked for a short time at a nursing home in Monroe and at Walmart. His longest employment was at the Rolscreen Company in Pella. Randy was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 11 years, and his physical condition impacted his employments. He subsequently underwent heart by-pass surgery and most recently a kidney transplant. Although limited by his condition, he enjoyed Tulip Time and participating in the flower show and working at the Scholte House in Pella. He enjoyed doing cross stitching and was fond of cats and fish. Randy was an important part of the Union Street Players theater family. He was very comfortable with being on stage and his most recent involvement was with “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Randy is survived by his parents, Deyona and Michael Icenbice of Lynnville; his two sisters and their families: Michelle Stewart of Newton and her three children: Cassandra, Bo Jay, and Mackenzie; Tanya (Calvin) Rozendaal of Monroe and their two sons, Zachary and Cameron; along with the following uncles and aunts: Daryl and Linda Menninga, Steve Icenbice, Diane Icenbice, Dave Icenbice, and Darlene Larson; and several nieces and nephews.
