Norma Gosselink, 93

Norma Gosselink, 93, of Grinnell, passed away Thursday, Mar. 12, 2026, at Windsor Manor in Grinnell. Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, Mar. 16, at Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Lynnville-Sully Athletic Boosters. Norma Aline Gosselink, the daughter of Charles and Marie (McGriff) Castner, was born Oct. 11, 1932, east of Taintor. She attended country school before graduating from New Sharon High School with the Class of 1949. Feb. 11, 1950, Norma was united in marriage to Robert Gosselink in Oskaloosa. To this union, two children were born, Cynthia and Craig. Bob and Norma moved to Oskaloosa where they began farming before moving to a farm near Lynnville so Bob could farm with his brother. Norma was a housewife raising the kids and taking care of her family before going to work as a secretary at Lynnville-Sully School and then Grinnell College in 1977, retiring in 1996. In 2001, Robert and Norma moved to Grinnell.

Norma was very active in PTA and was a den mother in Girl Scouts. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, square dancing, and above all attending all of her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. She was a member of Grinnell United Methodist Church.

Her legacy will be remembered by her grandchildren Lacie (Ronnie) Dykstra of Newton and Craig (Kari) Gosselink of Lynnville; great- grandchildren Chase (Lindsay) Dykstra, Kaiden (Stella) Gosselink, Lance (Courtney) Dykstra, Dalton (Rylee) Gosselink, Collin Dykstra, Terran Gosselink, and Merra Gosselink; six great-great- grandchildren Lainee Dykstra, Miles Dykstra, Wyatt Gosselink, Annaliese Gosselink, Grayson Gosselink, and Lilith Gosselink; sister Patricia “Patty” Fudge of Attica; honorary daughter Elaine Berry; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Gosselink in 2010; her daughter Cynthia Gosselink in 1995; her son Craig Gosselink in 2008; and a brother-in-law Larry Fudge.
