Myron Fraker, 70

Myron Leslie Fraker, 70, of Searsboro, passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022.

As was his wish, his body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Community Hope Church in Montezuma. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Burial will be held at a later time in the Westfield Cemetery near Grinnell.

Myron Leslie Fraker, the son of Bernard and Anita (Criswell) Fraker, was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Grinnell, He graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1969 and then attended trade school in Omaha, NE, in 1970. Myron worked for over 40 years at Kruseman Fertilizer and also enjoyed farming with his brother, Terry, for 28 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, and through the years, he could be found hunting with many friends. He also enjoyed fishing and spending most weekends in the summer in his boat on the river. Myron was known to have a green thumb, showcasing his garden veggies and sweet corn to all his friends and family with a surprise stop. Above all, Myron had an unconditional love for his daughter Tiffany. She was his world, and they will forever share countless unforgettable memories of their time together.

Myron’s memory will be honored by his daughter Tiffany Fraker (Colin Kilby) of Des Moines; his sister, Barb (Bryce) Van Der Wilt of Lynnville; his brother Terry (Cathy) Fraker of Lynnville; his sister-in-law Donna Fraker of Montezuma; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Fraker.
