Lloyd Ray Van Zante was born Feb. 12, 1957, to Wilbur and Harriet (De Vries) Van Zante in Skiff Hospital, Newton. He died Mar. 28, 2021, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Graveside service was held at Sully Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 30. Donations have been designated for Link Associates, 1452 29th Street, West Des Moines, IA 50266.
Lloyd attended Lynnville-Sully School and Sully Christian School.
Lloyd enjoyed working outside on the farm and around his shop. He worked for Gifford’s DX Gas Station for many years and owned his own lawn care business. Lloyd had been living under the care of Link Associates since Oct. 12, 2015.
Lloyd is survived by his mother Harriet Van Zante; three brothers: Arlyn (Barbara) of Grinnell, Jim (Marlis) of Lynnville, and Merl (Candy) of Reasnor; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Wilbur Van Zante.
