Linda Rozendaal, 87, of Lynnville, passed away Nov. 6, 2025, followed by a private family service at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, Pella. Memorials have been designated for Christian Opportunity Center in Pella, 1553 Broadway St., Pella, IA 50219.
Linda Lou Rozendaal was born Sept. 24, 1938, to Marcelis and Annie (Baarda) Nikkel on the family farm near Sully. Linda lived in the Lynnville-Sully area her entire life and attended schools there.
Mar. 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Maurice Rozendaal at the Sully Christian Reformed Church parsonage. To this union, they were blessed with four sons: Bryan, Jeff, Clint, and Jonathan.
Linda was a homemaker and managed the Sully Casey’s for many years. She was a member of the Sully Christian Reformed Church quilting group and enjoyed playing the Clavinova. Most of all, Linda loved raising her family, visiting family, and going to special events. Linda and Maurice also enjoyed going for family drives and to drive-in movies.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 70 years Maurice and their family: Bryan (Myra) Rozendaal of Sully, Jeff Rozendaal of Sully, Clint Rozendaal of Phoenix, AZ, and Jon (Gemma) Rozendaal of Norfolk, VA; five grandchildren; nine great-grand-children, and a great-great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Junella Lanser and her brother-in-law Roger Rozendaal.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law Walter and Margaret Rozendaal; all her siblings: Lester (Marilyn) Nikkel, James (Sadie) Nikkel, Bernie (Lenora) Nikkel, John (Wilda) Nikkel, Mathilda (Arthur) Van Manen, Pauline (Clarence) Laverman, Cornelia (Henry) Vander Weerdt, Elizabeth (John) Vander Weerdt, and Marcella (Lester) Laverman; and her siblings-in-law William Jr. Rozendaal, Harv Rozendaal, and Marge Van Dusseldorp.
