Jean Morris, 100, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 21, 2025, at her home in New Sharon. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 24, at New Life Fellowship Church in New Sharon. Burial was in Friends Cemetery in New Sharon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be sent to Holland-Coble Funeral Home, In Care of Jean Morris, P.O. Box 85, New Sharon, IA 50207.
Luella Jean Morris, the daughter of Victor and Bessie (Mol) Renaud, was born Mar. 28, 1925, near Sully. She was married to Windsor Morris on May 25, 1941. To this union they raised three children: Lamona, Vic, and Phil. Jean loved her family and enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking care of her yard. She also loved to supervise “everyone” at Vic’s Dairy Creme, having watermelon seed spitting contests, playing wiffle ball with her family every Sunday night, and above all, she loved her grandchildren making sure they felt her love and affection.
Her legacy will be cherished by her children: Lamona Davis, Vic (Carol Ann) Morris, and Phil (Gail) Morris; her grandchildren: Sue (David) Dewitt, Dennis (Tina) Davis, Lori (Ron) Wyatt, Jeremy Davis, Mary Jo (Tony) Hibler, Kirk Morris, Bobbi Jo (Mark) Harmon, Brett (Acacia) Morris, Lyndsay (Mitchel) Veenstra, and Trent (Brittany) Morris; 25 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-great-
grandchildren; and a grandson-in-law Doug Richards.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Windsor in 1982; a granddaughter Tami Richards; a son-in-law Terry Davis; a brother Robert (Mary) Renaud; and two sisters Joyce (Byron) Ver Steegh and Bernice (Claire) Butin.
