Jacob Henry Voss, 72, son of the late Jacob and Johanna Voss and loving husband of Sharla (Zylstra) Voss, was sent to his Heavenly Home Jan. 31, 2025. Jacob is survived by his wife Sharla; children: Jacob (Tiffany Tibstra) Voss, Shallise Voss, Rashelle (Michael) Thornburg, Joseph (Kristie Duracka) Voss, and Jeremiah (Ashley Jaques) Voss; his 14 dear grandchildren; and his mother-in-law Nellie Zylstra of Pella and formerly of Sully.
Jacob was a beloved brother of Betty (late William) Loerop, John (Loreen Roon) Voss, Joanne (Bruce) Harnew, Grace (Edward) Jongsma, and the late brothers Allen Voss and Edward Voss.
Jacob spent his life serving those around him, impacting many through his passion, strong work ethic, and deep devotion. A remarkable craftsman, Jacob has been responsible for constructing many buildings and homes, including several of his own, creating beautiful places for memories to be made and cherished.
Jacob was a respected man of immense faith, dedicated to his family who will continue on his legacy of craftsmanship and dedication. Affectionately called “Dad” and “Papa,” his family cherishes the time spent with him in his Colorado home.

A service to celebrate Jacob's life took place at Colonial Chapel, Orland Park, IL, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, followed by visitation 2-5 p.m. Private burial was in Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
