Gary Tremmel, 75

Gary Lee Tremmel, of Searsboro, was born Jan. 24, 1950, and passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2025. He was the son of William Kenneth “Bill” and Sylvia Ferne (Veach) Tremmel. They lived in Sigourney and Everett, WA. He enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Purple Heart Vietnam veteran. He was a Specialist 4th Class 621.20 Dozer Operator in the 615th Engineer Construction Company from Oct. 26, 1967, to Oct. 23, 1970. Tremmel served in Vietnam from April 1968 to September 1969.

Gary married Nancy Atkinson in Tempe, AZ, on May 25, 1972. To this union a son, Kenneth R. Tremmel, was born. They lived in Las Vegas, NV, where Gary worked for Lake Mead Parks Maintenance. They moved to Lake Stevens, WA, where Gary was owner of Mountain View Plumbing. Gary and Nancy moved to Searsboro in 2015.

Left to cherish his memory are their children Kenneth Tremmel, Kate Atkinson, Sue (Brian) Horan, and Dean (Serena) Atkinson; his brother Rodney (Bertha) Tremmel; his sisters Shirley Saunders and Linda (Tom) Tucker; three grandchildren Cyrus, Dylan, and Nick; three great-grandchildren Chloe, Jack, and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson Bruce Atkinson.

Military rites will be held at a later date.
