Erma Vos, 86, died Aug. 17, 2021. Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Pella. Interment was in Sully Cemetery. Memorials have been designated for Hospice of Pella and Christian Reformed World Missions (Resonate Global Mission), Grand Rapids, MI.
Erma Jean Vos was born Aug. 12, 1935, to Cornie and Henrietta (Swank) Vos at their home north of Sully.
Erma attended the American School of Correspondence, Reformed Bible College, University of New Mexico, Nova University, Oglala Lakota College in South Dakota, and the University of South Dakota, studying special education and early childhood education. She was an outreach worker from 1964-1979 in early childhood education missions. She also worked for Christian Reformed Board of Home Missions and Shannon County Schools. Erma was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church, Mission Circle, and Thursday Night Alive.
Those left to cherish her memory are her twin sister Elva Vos, her sister-in-law Mavis Vos, 11 nieces and nephews and their families, and a host of relatives and friends.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Wilbur (Cornelia) Vos, Melvin (Lorraine) Vos, and Ivan Vos.
