Edwin E. Jansen, 82, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016.
The family will greet visitors at First Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church, 1425 68th Street SW in Grand Rapids, MI, on Friday, Dec. 2, from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at First Cutlerville Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Randy Blacketer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to South Christian Sports Boosters.
Ed was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his great grandson, Isaiah Martinez; his brothers, Dick, Edwin James, and Earl Lester; sister, Doris Geels; and brother-in-law, Junior Vos.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Arlyn; sons, Evan and Sharolyn, Greg and Lyn, Eric and Marie, Stuart and Jessica; 10 grandchildren; four great-grand-children; brothers and sisters, Charlie (Cornelia), Guy (Janet), Berdena Vos, Wilma (Delmer) Van Kooten, Melvin (Marilyn); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nelson Geels, Janice (Richard) Peffley, and Etta Boot.
