Edmund Renaud, 87

Edmund Renaud, 87, of Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls with his family by his side. Funeral services were held Aug. 13 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery.

Ed was born to Paul H. and Lydia (Van Der Pol) Renaud in Taintor. Ed was educated at Fleming and Lundt Schools near Taintor. Ed was married Dec. 4, 1951, to Miriam E. Campbell in Alden, beginning their marriage in Colorado Springs, CO. Ed served as a Corporal in the United States Army from October 1950 until October 1952 and then transferred to the Army Reserve until April 1957. After his discharge from the Korean Conflict where he served in the medical division at Fort Carson, CO, they moved back to Pella. In the spring of 1954, they moved to the farmstead near Alden, where they resided for 35 years, raising nine children with many cherished memories. They retired to Iowa Falls in 1989 where the happy memories continued, including traveling around the world together. Ed accepted Christ as his Saviour at an early age and was in happy fellowship at Ellis Avenue Meeting Room.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Miriam; and his children: Stephen (Susan) Renaud of Iowa Falls, Sidney (Carol) Renaud of Huxley, Sterling (Lisa) Renaud of Iowa Falls, Suzanne (David) Rule of Dublin, OH, Sheldon (Denise) Renaud of Iowa Falls, Stanton (Kim) Renaud of Radcliffe, Tricia (Brian) Dutcher of West Des Moines, Tyler Renaud of Iowa Falls, and Scott (Lisa) Renaud of Alden; 28 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Gerrit (Jane) Renaud of Monroe, Mark (Patricia) Renaud of Palm Springs, CA, and Leo (Marguerite) Renaud of Des Moines; two sisters: Lydia Roossinck of Fremont, MI, and Mary (John) Verratti of Gasport, NY.

Preceding him in death were his parents, six brothers, and one sister.
