Doris Hendricks, 86, of Reasnor went to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Pella Regional Health Cen-ter. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, Pella.
Doris Lucille Hendricks was born Dec. 20, 1934, to Robert Melvin and E. Lucille (Heishman) May on the family farm northeast of Grinnell. She grew up in the Grinnell area and was a 1952 graduate of Grinnell High School.
Feb. 14, 1964, she was united in marriage to Lee Hendricks at the Sheridan Methodist Church in Malcolm. They were blessed with one son, Blair. Doris was a farm wife and cleaned at Pella Corp from 1994 to 2010, when she retired to care for Lee. Doris enjoyed going to craft shows, arranging flowers, and recipe magazines and books.
She is survived by her son Blair of Reasnor; her sister-in-law Theda May of Grinnell; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Lee in 2013, her parents, and her brother Robert May in 2007.
