Dolores Louise “Dee” (Green) Krull, 87, of Sun City, AZ, passed away under hospice care on July 2, 2023. Following a private burial on Aug. 26, 2023, the family will greet friends at the Family Christian Center, 505 East Street, Lynnville, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Dee was born Sept. 14,1935, in Sioux Rapids to Clifford and Marie (Nelson) Green. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from high school in Rembrandt. Dee received an AA degree from Graceland University (formerly Graceland College) before receiving her teaching degree from University of Northern Iowa (formerly Iowa State Teachers College). Dee taught K-12 physical education in the Britt and Newton schools. She left teaching to join her friend, Harriet Taylor, in successfully farming grain and livestock in the Lynnville community for over 25 years.
She retired in 2003 and relocated to Sun City, AZ. She was an avid bowler on local teams, participated in potlucks, and traveled with friends. She joined the church choir and local music groups, and performed with the chorale group Arizona Women in Tune. Dee continued to follow professional and collegiate basketball and football. She was a loyal fan of Arizona Diamondback baseball and Cardinal football teams, and was a dedicated Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, son David, brother Stephen, and farming partner Harriett Taylor. She is survived by brother Ken (Onalee) Green of North Mankato, MN; sister Rosalyn (Walt) Coward of Asheville, NC; sister-in-law, Connie (Stephen) Green; and many nephews and nieces as well as the many friends from her Sun City and Iowa communities.
