Dale J. Wallace, 87, formerly of Lynnville, passed away peacefully Sept. 17, 2016, surrounded by his wife and family in his home in Estero, FL.
Dale was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Norman County, Minnesota, to William Wallace and Alice DeWitt.
He is survived by his wife (DeLoris Van Weelden) of 46 years; his children, Donovan and Patricia Wallace, Regina Wallace, Kent Wallace, Shawn and Craig Retman, and Kirk Van Rees; his sister, Jan Dieken; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great- granddaughters; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, Bret Van Rees; infant grandson, Dale Morgan; and two brothers, Paul and Ralph.
There will be no services at this time. At a later date, a celebration of life will be held in Iowa for Dale.
Any memorials to Hope Hospice, Bonita Springs, FL, or American Legion, Newton, will be greatly appreciated.
