Bryce Van Der Wilt, 83, passed away unexpectedly at his Lynnville home on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella. Honor Bryce by wearing a racing shirt to his funeral at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19, at Sully First Reformed Church. Memorials may be given to Sully First Reformed Church for online services.
Bryce Dale Van Der Wilt was born May 4, 1943, to Kenneth and Nellie (Van Manen) Van Der Wilt. Bryce attended Lynnville-Sully Schools and Mechanic Trade School in Omaha, NE.
Sept. 11, 1964, he was united in marriage to Barbara J. Fraker. To this union three children were born: Marla, Monica, and Maury. After Bryce’s father passed away, they moved to the family farm and made their home centered on Faith, Family, and Community. They attended Sully First Reformed Church.
Bryce is survived by his wife Barb and their family: Marla (Duane) Van Rees of Lynnville, Monica (Brian) Lanser of Lynnville, and Maury (Stacie) Van Der Wilt of Lynnville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his sister Judy (Dwight) Ver Steegt; his brother-in-law Terry (Cathy) Fraker; and his sister-in-law Donna Fraker.
Bryce was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Nellie Van Der Wilt, stepfather Bert Van Wyk, parents-in-law Bernard and Anita Fraker, and brothers-in-law Gary Fraker and Myron Fraker.
