Brandon Rozendaal, 17

Brandon Rozendaal, 17, died at his home in Monroe on Nov. 6, 2015. Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Federated Fellowship Church, Pella. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to: Pella Christian High School, Pine Rest Christian Services, and Federated Fellowship Church.

Brandon Michael Rozendaal was born Jan. 13, 1998, to Calvin and Tanya (Icenbice) Rozendaal in Pella. He lived in the Monroe area his entire life, was a senior at Pella Christian High School, and planned to attend Army Advanced Individual Training after graduation

Brandon will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his big heart, and his love of Jesus. He was a member of Federated Fellowship Church in Pella. He enjoyed squirrel hunting, trapping, and fishing. Brandon was involved in many sports including football, baseball, bowling, and trapshooting. He also enjoyed listening to music, painting, and drawing. Most of all, Brandon loved spending time outdoors with his family, playing games in the yard, grilling, and sitting around the fire. Brandon was interested in the military and had recently joined the Army Reserves.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Calvin and Tanya Rozendaal; his brothers Zachary and Cameron; his grandparents Mike and Deyona Icenbice of Lynnville and Norman and Coretha Rozendaal of Monroe; maternal uncle and aunt: Randy Icenbice of Pella and Shelley Stewart of Newton; paternal uncles: Tim (Jane) Rozendaal of Otley and Andy (Erin) Rozendaal of Chicago; paternal great-grandmother, Bertha Rozen-daal of Ankeny; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and relatives.
