David Bradley “Brad” Musgrove was born July 24, 1959, to Donavon and Audrey (Van Dee) Musgrove in Newton. Brad passed away Jan. 18, 2026, at the Comfort House in Pella, at the age of 66, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. A private family service was held at Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella where visitation was held the evening of Jan. 22. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Pella.
Brad was a 1977 graduate of Lynnville-Sully High School. Nov. 20, 1982, Brad was united in marriage to Cindy Rankin in Sully. To this union they were blessed with two daughters Natasha and Nicolette.
Brad worked for Co-Line Welding Inc. for more than 29 years.
Brad lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t talked to yet.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing, fishing, camping, growing flowers, pool season, and flying kites on the beach with his grandkids. He practiced a quiet yet deep faith. He also enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, motorcycles, making cookies, family trips to Colorado and Florida, and spending time with family, friends, and loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Cindy and their family: Natasha (John) Ripley, Brayden, and Nora of Ankeny, and Nicolette (Jay) Mitchell, Baya, Amelle, and Hollyn of Sully.
Brad is also survived by his mother Audrey Musgrove of Sully, brother Brett Musgrove of Sully, father- and mother-in-law Ron and Betty Rankin of Reasnor, and sister-in-law Teresa Gifford.
Brad was preceded in death by his father Donavon Musgrove.
