Ben Fisk, 87, of Lynnville, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 26, 2022, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Lynnville Friends Church. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Lynnville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lynnville-Sully Athletic Boosters.
Benny Dale Fisk, the son of Alfred and Lucille (Leatherman) Fisk, was born July 31, 1935, in Poweshiek County. He graduated from Searsboro High School. Sept. 11, 1955, Benny married Harriet Diane Tice. To this union, one son and one daughter were born - Kraig Timothy Fisk and Kristine Diane Fisk. They lived at a farm south of Searsboro for many years until they moved to Lynnville. Ben loved to work on the farm, attend sporting events, and golf with his wife Harriet. Together, they attended and camped at the Iowa State Fair for more than 40 years. Ben lived for his family and his farm until the very last day.
Benny is survived by his loving wife Harriet; children Kraig Timothy Fisk of Searsboro and Kristine Diane Fisk of Fairfax, VA; three grandchildren Jason (Jeana) Fisk of Searsboro, Joshua (Valerie) Fisk of Searsboro, and Taylor (Zach McNaul) Fisk of Lynnville; one adopted grandson Mike Large; 13 great-grandchildren Kobe (McKin-ley) Fisk, Kolton Fisk, Carson Fisk, Kaylynn Fisk, Clay Sandifer, Lane Fisk, Landyn Fisk, Gavin Fisk, Cori Fisk, Hannah Fisk, Audrey McNaul, Stetson McNaul, and Judson McNaul; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Betty Lou Moore and Peggy Ann Fisk; and brother Daniel Boone Fisk.
