Results of the Sully Fourth of July 2015 parade judging:

Bicycles

Large Floats 
1. Diamond Trail Children's Center "All Stars"-The float is filled with DTCC families and future L-S "All Stars," pulled by a CA Allis Chalmers owned by Rod Meyer.

2. Sully Christian School three generations of a family, Carolyn Vande Voort a 1960 SCS graduate, her daughter Nicky Olivier a 1986 SCS graduate, and Danica Olivier is currently an SCS first grader.

3. Van Ko Chopping - Jamie and Michelle Van Kooten, Austin, Alicia, Alayna, and Andrew.

Small Floats 
1. Ben and Jack Vos, grandsons of Eldon and Brenda Nikkel of Sully, celebrate pride in the past and faith in the future.

2. Lynnville-Sully Community Education Foundation promoting eduation excellence for future generations. The foundaion also plans alumni events, daddy-daughtger dance, teacher grants, senior scholarships and more, Brenda Newell, Kyra Smith, and Faye Brand.

3. De Cook Family has great memories of working their dad on Fourth of July projects. This three-wheeler was made by their dad the late Arvin De Cook for Sully's parade in possibly 1990. Driving this unique bike are Arvin's son Adam and cousin Ryan Earp of Florence, TX. These young men may not know which direction they are headed, but with the example that was set for them, they have faith they will get where they need to be, and they'll have a GREAT time getting there!

Tractors 
1. Gordon Foster of Pella drives a 1956 F40 Ferguson with an original Ferguson #12 baler.
2. Cody Foster of New Sharon drives a 1951 T0-30 Ferguson he owns and restored.
3. Verlan Brand drives his 1955 200 with fast hitch pulling a New Idea one-row cornpicker, grandchildren are Allison, Aidan, and Kylie Brand.

Autos/Trucks 
1.Team Goalsetter Drag Cars is three generations of drag racing excellence: Dale "The Rail" Brand-top alcohol funny car at 250+ mph, Eric Brand-super gas roadster at 150 mph, and Carter Brand-eight years old first drag race last weekend, 1/2 scale junior dragster at 50 mph.

2. 1926 Available Canopy Express truck with Arland and Arlene Vander Leest's "almost six" great-grandsons on board: Colt Vander Leest age 4, Jude Navrkal age 3, Blake Wyngarden age 2, Reed Vander Leest age 2, Brody Wyngarden age 1, and No. 6 Baby Navrkal due July 13; driver Kevin Navrkal and co-driver Neal Vander Leest.

3. Duane Heyveld of Pella and his 1971 Ford Torino GT.

Horses/Buggies/Carts
1. Vernon Vanden Hoek Family of Lynnville with really early Lynnville-Sully school bus pulled by two miniature donkeys named Herbie and Huey, with passengers Leah and Samuel Philby.

2. Meldon and Eloise Vos Family of Reasnor with Mikayla riding Ace, Mariah riding Chip, Meleisha driving Blacko, Majesta driving Butterscotch with Mandeesa riding along.

3. Baxter residents Davie Sumpter leading his donkey Smokey and Judy Sumpter leading her donkey Sheena.

 

Results of the water fights:

1. Don Steenhoek, Reasnor; 2. Corey Van Kooten, Sully; 3. Kurt Steenhoek, Monroe.

Kid's results: Ages 5-6, 1. Cambria Van Dyke, 2. Landon Van Wyk, 3. (tie) Gavin Lepley, Sadie Van Der Wilt; Ages 7-8, 1. Jonathan Van Gorp, 2. Renee Van Wyk, 3. Tyke Van Der Wilt; Ages 9-10, 1. Alyssa Lepley, 2. Annika Van Dyke, 3. Kyler Agan; Ages 11-12, 1. Kelly Van Wyk, 2. Aidan Brand, 3. Matthew Winters.

Results of the seven-team ball tournament:

Vipers of Grinnell swept all teams during the day, winning the championship and earning four wins and no losses. Other teams were Sully  First Reformed Church, Truck Wash 1, Truck Wash 2, Team Scandridge, Team Rozendaal, and Team Zylstra.
