A Sully Community Christmas will be held Saturday morning, Dec. 12. More than a dozen downtown businesses are planning open houses, and the Faithwalkers soup dinner and IMPACT bake sale will be at Sully First Reformed Church. Business open houses, door prizes, kids’ activities, and Sully Lions-sponsored Santa’s visit with treats for all good boys and girls at old restored hardware store next to the post office will be part of the activities.
Businesses with usual Saturday morning hours will be open as usual; however, businesses not usually open will open 10 a.m.-noon. So far, the list of participants is: 1st State Bank, Allycuts, Casey’s General Store, Coffee Cup Cafe, Fikse Chiropractic (where you can order delicious fudge for the Sully Library fundraiser), Hometown Press, Key Cooperative Lumber Dept., Key Cooperative NAPA Store/Station, Sully Christian School kids’ event at Synergy, Sully Community Locker, Sully Post Office, Sully Telephone Association, and Van Wijk Winery.
