Lynnville-Sully grad and Musco team member Reagan McFarland presents a $3,000 to Lynnville-Sully administrators on Friday, May 1. Lynnville-Sully was selected as a winner of Musco’s Spirit Spotlight contest back in March. Musco Lighting, a leader in lighting solutions that enhance gameday experience for players, coaches, spectators, and supporters across the nation, is a proud supporter of Iowa schools – and the Lynnville-Sully Community School District is feeling that generous support. On Friday, May 1, Musco team member Reagan McFarland presented Lynnville-Sully with a $3,000 check as part of their Spirit Spotlight promotion.
Back in March, Oskaloosa-based Musco partnered with the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association to kick off their Spirit Spotlight Contest. The Spirit Spotlight Contest is a celebration of athletic achievement and opportunities for students to experience, enjoy, and grow from participation in extracurricular activities, as well as highlights the contributions of everyone on the court, in the bleachers, and back home cheering on their team. McFarland, a Lynnville-Sully and Simpson College grad who has been a member of the Musco team since December of 2025, promoted the Spirit Spotlight Contest on social media. She encouraged Lynnville-Sully Hawk fans – who were in the midst of cheering on the girls’ basketball team during their State Tournament run – to help light up the blue and gold school spirit and nominate Lynnville-Sully for a chance to win the Spirit Spotlight’s $3,000 prize.
Lynnville-Sully was nominated by several fans but it was Hawk fan Cory Tice’s nomination that was selected as a winner in the contest. School officials plan to direct the $3,000 donation from Musco to support Lynnville-Sully student-athletes and help pay for junior high uniforms.
