Fundraising efforts by the Lynnville Home-town Pride Committee for the Lynnville United Fund resulted in $10,400 being shared among eight local non-profit organizations.
Organizations will be receiving their checks by the end of the April, with several using their donated funds for general operating expenses.
Some new projects this year include the Lynnville-Sully Community Education Foundation inviting two authors to the school to speak with K-8 grade students next school year. The Diamond Trail Children’s Center will be using their monies for new cabinets. And visitors of the Lynnville Wagaman Mill may see some new rip rap to help with erosion control east of the wall project that was completed last year to help when the river overflows its banks.
Organizers of the Lynnville United Fund would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who generously donated to the local cause.
