The Class of 2025 shared celebratory hugs and handshakes and even a few tears as the 29 graduates walked across the high school stage to receive their diplomas, marking the end of their K-12 educational journey and the start of a new chapter of life. The impact the Class of 2025 made on the school was clearly displayed not only by the emotion that filled the gym on graduation night, May 24, but by the display of trophies and plaques that lined the stage celebrating academic and athletic achievements.

Commencement began with a prelude by the L-S High School Band directed by Miss Brenna Hamborg. Everyone stood for the processional in which junior class officers Kate Harthoorn and Michael Spooner ushered in the Class of 2025. Students receiving Academic Excellence Medallions were brought on stage for special recognition. Valedictorian Leigha Elliott and salutatorian Alaina Roberts gave memorable speeches as honor grads. The high school chorus, directed by Miss Hamborg and accompanied by Louise Redding, performed “Sisi Ni Moja” before the diplomas were received by proud grads. Each graduate presented their parents with a rose and hug along with their diploma before being announced the Hawks’ newest alumni and throwing up their caps in celebration.
