The “Be a Ballpark Backer” campaign launched two years ago by the Lynnville Chamber continues to bring big improvements to the Lynnville Ballpark. Last week, a sidewalk connecting the ballpark area to the playground was installed by Pour Boy Construction of Lynnville.
A new sidewalk links the ballpark area to the playground area. Pour Boy Construction of Lynnville completed the sidewalk the last week of October.
“Installing the new path between the two areas is a great safety improvement to the park,” said Faye Brand, Lynnville Chamber President. “Parents, grandparents, and young children will especially enjoy this new walking surface compared to the uneven ground before. Ultimately we hope to have a walking path around the entire ballpark area.”
The Lynnville Chamber is still looking for funds to restore the Old Lynnville School Bell and improve the T-ball field area, as well as a long-term goal of a walking path around the entire ballpark area.
