The calls and emails to Hometown Press last week were numerous because the newspapers for Grinnell, Kellogg, and Pella addresses were lost in Des Moines for a few days and finally were delivered on Monday, July 13, instead of the publication date of July 9. Your local post office and newspaper staff are not to blame for the delivery issues. The problem is at the Des Moines Post Office, and postal officials are supposed to be working on the extremely late delivery problems.
