L-S, SCS staff members treated to back-to-school sweet drinks

Aug. 23 marked the first day of the 2023-24 school year and end of summer vacation for area children and staff members. Heather Engbers, a realtor for Iowa Realty and mother of three children attending Lynnville-Sully, wanted to make sure all L-S and SCS teachers, administrators, and staff knew their worth and her appreciation by treating them all to a free drink from La Rose Marie Bakery on the first day of school. The realtor put a notice on her Heather Engbers, Iowa Realty Facebook page encouraging all area teachers and staff members to stop by the bakery on the first day of school, show their school badge when ordering, and kick off the year with a sweet start.

For La Rose Marie Bakery, Engbers’ generous offer resulted in their biggest drink order to date. “Thanks to Heather Engbers, Iowa Realty, for treating the teachers today! This was our biggest drink order yet!” said La Rose Marie Bakery in a post on social media.
