The Jasper County Fair will be held at the fairgrounds in Colfax July 17-23. Complete information is at www.jaspercofair.com. The schedule includes:

Friday, July 17

1 p.m. fashion revue and clothing selection judging (closed to public)

5 p.m. opening ceremonies, dog show, cat show

6:30-8:30 p.m. bean bag contest

7 p.m. horse trail classes

Saturday, July 18

Chainsaw Artist

8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. 4-H conference judging (closed to public)

8 a.m.-3 p.m. home economics judging contest

10 a.m. halter and performance classes horse show

Noon fun pet show

1 p.m. open class building closed for judging

1 p.m. gunny sack races

6:30-8 p.m. 4-H exhibit and open class buildings open to public

Sunday, July 19-Family Day

Kids carnival   and chainsaw artist

9:30 a.m. church service in big tent

10:30 a.m. exhibit and open class buildings open, 4-H/FFA llama show, tractor pull, 4H/FFA poultry activity - Jasper County's Tastiest Chicken Show

11 a.m. communication and awards

Noon-4 p.m. public safety day

Noon hotdog eating contest and sand volleyball
