Get out and vote Nov. 7

 

Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 7, for city and school election day in Iowa. Polls will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.

In Sully, newcomers Ben Ahrens and Rebecca Van Wyk are seeking the position of Sully Mayor as incumbent mayor Brent Vander Molen did not seek reelection. Incumbent councilmembers MaryCarol Cross and Tim LeCompte are both running unopposed.

In Lynnville, current council-member Mark Newberg will be running for mayor unopposed as incumbent mayor Roy James did not seek reelection. Newcomers Bailey Tompkins and Tanis Comegys are on the ballot to replace the council seats held by Newberg, who is running for mayor, and Kevin Arment, who did not seek reelection.

In Searsboro, the mayor position and three council positions will be filled by write-in votes, as no one filed.

In Reasnor, Lorrie Cupp and Tami Weishaar are seeking the mayor position. Derek Stephen Rice and Tara Rose Rice are seeking two council seats while Darin Galbraith is seeking to fill a council vacancy.

For Lynnville-Sully School District Board of Directors, incumbents David Foster, Amanda Jones, and Tammy Vos are all running unopposed for reelection.
