Donna LaVonne Fleming, 93, of Urbandale, passed away peacefully on Nov. 30, 2023. Donna was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Newton to Earl F. and Nina (Brand) Graham.
Donna was a graduate of Newton High School and was united in marriage to Kenneth Eugene Fleming on June 2, 1949. Together, they had three sons: Royce, Randy, and Rick. They resided in Prairie City until they moved to Urbandale in 1975.
Donna was a homemaker a majority of her life, holding some part-time jobs over the years. She was an avid gardener and had a real green thumb - she could grow anything. Donna loved to crochet and make beautiful blankets until arthritis prevented her from doing so.
Donna is survived by two children Randy (Brenda) Fleming of Wichita, KS, and Rick (Linda) Fleming of Urbandale; grandchildren Jared Fleming, Joshua (Ashley) Fleming, Brianna Fleming, Ben Fleming, Brandi (Justin) Marcus, Daniele (Shawn) Marlatt, Rachel Fleming, and Megan (Humam) Hussien; seven great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a brother Ron (Ruth) Graham of Kellogg; and two nephews Rob Graham and Reggie Graham.
Donna was laid to rest next to her husband Kenneth at Sully Cemetery. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
