Arabella by Kate opens stylish new salon building

Katelyn Doane, owner of Arabella by Kate, started seeing clients in her new salon Mar. 18.

East Street in Lynnville has seen quite the transformation with the addition of a new 2,200 square foot building owned by Bryce and Katelyn Doane. Since February of 2015, Katelyn, owner of the salon Arabella by Kate, has offered services at 410 East Street (also known as Lynnville’s main street) but in a smaller brick building. That brick building has been part of East Street’s landscape as a beauty/barber shop for the last 75 years.

Salon and other services will continue at 410 East Street for hopefully another 75 years, but now they will be housed in a larger and modern building.

While the brick building was demolished last fall and the new one constructed, Arabella by Kate had been operating temporarily out of Valerie’s Fine Dining.

Katelyn opened up her new digs on Mar. 18 and is operating in the middle portion of the building. She is taking appointments Tuesdays through Thursdays. Appointments may be made by calling 641-527-2555.

“I’m excited to be in the new building and enjoying the new space,” Katelyn said.

Katelyn will be joined by Stephanie Walker, a licensed massage therapist, who operates Massage by Stephanie. Stephanie joined Katelyn in the older brick building in June of 2023 and offers a full line of massage treatments. She also started seeing clients in the north end of the new building on Mar. 18. Appointments with Stephanie can be made by calling 641-436-6846.

The Doanes are looking for someone for the south rental space, which they say would be good for office, retail, or barbershop and includes a private bathroom and storage/laundry room.

Arabella by Kate’s new and modern salon building sits at the same location as the brick building that originally housed the business at 410 East Street in Lynnville.
