Marlena Klyn Lawson,75, of Sears-boro, passed away Aug. 6, 2026. She was a graduate of Lynnville-Sully High School Class of 1969 and daughter of Emmett and Esther Klyn. Marlena resided in McMinnville, TN, since 1993 when she married her husband Freddie Lawson. She wore many hats over the years, but by far substitute teaching was what she loved most.
She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Lawson and grandsons Alex Wayne Kentner and Michael Alexander.
Marlena leaves behind a son Emmet (Ivette) Bresee of Smyrna, TN; a daughter Jen-Claire (Anthony) Kentner of Palmyra, TN; stepdaughter Lea Lawson of Ohio; and stepsons Leroy Lawson of Ohio and Larry Lawson of Tennessee. Marlena had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family had a private memorial service.
