                I got to daydreaming over the weekend and remembered when Clarence Van Der Zyl had several beautiful horses in a small pasture behind my home.

                There was also a donkey in the crowd that I named Duffus. He was ornery. Every now and then, he would make this horrible shriek, EEEEEK something.

                Robert Hofer, 72, passed away Wednesday, Mar. 27, 2019. He was born the son of Leonard and Margaret Hofer on June 12, 1946, in Montour. Robert worked all of his life for the City of Des Moines. He was an avid Hawkeyes fan and loved fishing and hunting.
