Charles L. Renaud, 71

Charles L. Renaud, 71, of Middle Amana and formerly of Lynnville, died peacefully in his home on Mar. 30, 2017. Charles, son of Edward and Alice (Jones) Renaud, was born Oct. 6, 1945, in Artesia, CA. The family moved back to Lynnville in 1949 where Charles attended and graduated from the Lynnville-Sully school system. He then attended William Penn College for one year before joining the Air Force. While in the military, Charles was stationed in Japan and Germany as well as stateside bases in Alaska and Nevada. After 22 years as an inventory control supervisor, he mustered out in 1989 at the rank of Tech Sgt to Clovis, NM, where he lived for several years before moving to Middle Amana where he resided until his death.

Charles is survived by two brothers, Richard (Skip) of Tonopah, AZ, and Donald of Kimberling City, MO; a brother- and sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret Marshall. Chas will be remembered most for his great sense of humor. It was great fun to hear his booming laughter and to watch the way his eyes sparkled after having heard a good joke.

A family graveside memorial service is pending.
