The Lynnville-Sully Athletic Boosters invite everyone to attend the first “Pack the Stands” event on Friday, June 23. The Lynnville-Sully baseball and softball teams will host the North Mahaska Warhawks in Sully starting at 6 p.m. Admittance to the games will be free, compliments of the L-S Athletic Boosters, for both L-S and North Mahaska fans and community members. Fans are encouraged to sport their team colors and enjoy an evening of SICL competition.
In addition, all area baseball and softball players in L-S Youth Sports’ rookie, minor, and major divisions will be recognized between the varsity and JV games on their respective fields.
The L-S Athletic Boosters’ “Pack the Stands” event is a celebration of the talented athletes in the community, but also a show of appreciation for the community and area businesses who generously support the school and its student-athletes. The night promises to be a memorable evening for everyone in attendance.
“As a player, there is nothing more exciting than playing in front of a packed house. I would love nothing more than to see the fences lined with fans from both teams on Friday night; I have a smile and goose bumps just thinking about it,” said Scott Alberts, L-S Athletic Boosters President. “A heartfelt thank you to all of the local businesses who support our athletic programs here at Lynnville-Sully, it would be difficult to compete at the level we do without you.”
Anyone interested in becoming an L-S Athletic Booster member is encouraged to attend the “Pack the Stands” event on June 23, as well as look for details about upcoming fundraisers scheduled to take place later in the summer.
The L-S Athletic Boosters play a vital role in Hawk athletics and support the teams and athletes through the purchase of equipment and uniforms, covering clinic and camp fees, and much more.
