L-S football games now livestreamed

Last year, if Lynnville-Sully football fans couldn’t make it to the Friday night game, they were out of luck with no way to listen or watch the game. Thanks to a new livestreaming option this year, however, Hawk fans can keep up with the team from anywhere with an internet connection.

The games are broadcast live on thecube.com with the link for the game each week available on the Hometown Press Facebook page as well as the Hometown Press web-site, www.hometownpressia.com. Games remain available for viewing on thecube.com for 30 days.

The Hometown Press, who sponsors the livestreaming, is thankful for the livestreaming announcers: Mark Doll, Dwight Beyer, and Shane Ehresman, who have agreed to broadcast all L-S varsity football games this year. Ryan McFarland has also volunteered his time to help make the video portion better as well as help with any technical needs.

Sponsors for the livestreaming are currently being sought for $15 a game. If you or your business would like to be a Hawk livestreaming sponsor, please call 641-594-3200.

Looking beyond the football season, the Hometown Press hopes to cover basketball games as well but will need willing commentators and sponsors to make that happen. Info on the possibility of basketball livestreaming will be published in the Hometown Press closer to the start of the winter sports season.
