Troy Allen Michael Mintle, 50

Troy Allen Michael Mintle, 50, of Buffalo, NY, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Chey-enne, WY, at Davis Hospice Center. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in March and moved to Cheyenne to live with his brother, Mark. A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, Aug. 7, at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

Troy was born Dec. 9, 1966, to Mike and Jeanette Mintle in Grinnell. Troy was part of a church in Buffalo, NY, named Church in the Wind, where he sang on the praise team, helped with children's ministries, and always ministered to the homeless. He was also part of New Life Christian Church in Bella Vista, AR, where he lived for about two years. He was involved in men's ministries and always used his gift of helping others. He loved animals and people and never knew a stranger. He also loved to cook and worked at several restaurants over the years. Troy gave his life to Jesus Christ and shared the gospel everywhere he went. "Troy Boy" will be missed, but we know that he is now in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

Troy is survived by his stepmother, Anna Mae Mintle of Grinnell; son, Troy of Lynnville; brother, Mark of Cheyenne, WY; four half-brothers, Terry Mintle of Tennessee, Bryan Mintle and Brent Mintle, both from the Grinnell area, and Bradley Mintle of Racine, WI; grandmother, Ila Mintle, of Grinnell; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and by his adopted mother, Linda Giancola Mega and stepfather, Paul Mega of Bella Vista, AR. Troy was preceded in death by his father, Mike; and stepmother, Karen.
