Funeral services for Misty Torres, 29, of Sully were held Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Sully First Reformed Church. She died at her home Oct. 29. Interment was in Sully Cemetery.
Misty Sue Torres was born on Aug. 29, 1985, to Scott and Charlotte Bush Cogley in San Antonio, TX.
At a young age, she moved to Pella and attended Pella Community High School. She later earned her GED. On Jan. 4, 2005, Misty was united in marriage with Tony Torres in Knoxville. Currently she was employed at Casey's in Sully.
Misty was a member of the Sully First Reformed Church. She loved her kids, listening to music, watching movies with Tony, reading, and her cats. She was a great mother, was always helpful to others, was happy, and tried to make everyone else happy.
Those left to cherish her memory are: Her husband, Tony, of Sully; her daughters and son, Destiny Lexus, Mathias Darrel, and Elizabeth Barbara, all of Sully; her mother, Charlotte Liebiren of Detroit, MI; her parents-in-law, Felix and Tia Torres of Sully; grandparents-in-law, Darrel and Barb Jansen of Sully; two sisters, April Cogley and Amber Cogley both of Detroit; her sister-in-law Jennifer and niece Marlee Torres of Reasnor; nieces and nephews, Meishelay, Maliyah, Sofia, Penelope, and Connor; and her uncle- and aunt-in-law, Tim and Brenda Jansen and their children Brooke, Baylee, and Tyson.
Misty was preceded in death by her father, Scott Cogley.
