Kirk Wisgerhof, 67

Kirk Wisgerhof, 67, passed away on Aug. 1, 2019, at the Billings Clinic in Billings, MT, fol-lowing a long illness. At his request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place.

Kirk was born July 31, 1952, in Newton to Tenny and Glenn Wisgerhof. He attended schools in Newton and Sully and went on to graduate from Colorado State University with a degree in business.

He enjoyed a lifelong career in aviation. Kirk had a license to fly at the age of 15. He loved to fly. He was also a flight instructor. His love of flying brought him to Casper, WY, where he met his future wife Helen Alldredge. Kirk was the pilot on call at Casper Air Service when Helen’s father had to be flown to Denver, CO, for emergency heart surgery in 1985. They met again several months later when he flew her father to Denver again and they married three years later on Dec. 30, 1988. Helen was by his side when he passed away along with his sister-in-law Lana Alldredge.

Kirk was employed by several companies over the years as their pilot with the latest being Tractor & Equipment (Caterpillar) in Billings, MT. He had also worked as a pilot for Casper Air Service in Casper, WY, the State of Wyoming in Cheyenne, WY, and National City Bank in Cleveland, OH. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recognized Kirk in the prestigious FAA Airmen Certification Database. The database, which appears on the agency's website, named Kirk as exceeding the high educational, licensing, and medical standards established by the FAA

He enjoyed scuba diving, fast cars, motorcycling, shooting, flea markets, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Kirk is survived by his best friend Helen, his niece Heather (Mike) Saunders, nephew Scott (Melinda) Wisgerhof, sisters-in-law Barb (Ken) Wisgerhof, Billie (Paul) Alldredge Smith, and Lana Alldredge; and his great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kay, brother Ken, brother-in-law Butch Alldredge, his nephew Ashley Alldredge, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law William and Rosa Lee Alldredge.

His ashes will be buried with the Alldredge family at the Beechgrove Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN.

Thank you to Scott Wisgerhof and Heather Saunders for coming to Billings and helping Kirk many times when he needed you.  And a very special thank you to the nurses and staff on the 4R floor at the Billings Clinic for the kind and compassionate care they provided Kirk, and also Riverstone Hospice for their care and support.
