Isaac Renaud, 71

Isaac Renaud, 71, of Newton died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Newton Healthcare Center. Immediately following visitation on Nov. 29, burial took place at the Sully Cemetery.

Isaac, the son of Deverne and Norma (Roorda) Renaud, was born Feb. 13, 1946, five miles south of Sully. He grew up in Sully and graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1964. Isaac served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1973. He lived in both the Newton area and also in Show Low, AZ, for over 20 years while working as a self-employed truck driver. Isaac was united in marriage with Patricia Stevenson while living in Arizona. In June 2014, Isaac moved back to Newton.

Isaac is survived by his two children, Tony (Dawn) Renaud of Newton and Missy (Doug) Miller of Newton; grandchildren, Alex and Nathan Miller; his siblings, Larry (Marcene) Renaud of Ames, Carolyn (Tom) Durr of Colo, Randy (JoLynn) Renaud of Altoona, and Marlys (Rick) Hagen of Anchorage, AK; brother-in-law, Arie Vande Voort of Pella; sister-in-law, Ellene Renaud of Grinnell; many nieces and nephews; his large step family; and a special friend, Sonja Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Renaud; brother, Jerry Renaud; and sister, Marilyn Vande Voort.
