On Jan. 22, 2014, Grace L. Overman, 83 of Pella, unexpectedly left us to go home and be with the Lord.
Grace was born on Oct. 10, 1930, in New Sharon, the daughter of Max and Jeanette (Wanders) Huff. She went to the New Sharon Schools. After graduation, Grace went to work in Pella and Des Moines where she met Earl “Pat” Overman.
After she and Pat were married, they moved to California where Grace continued to reside after Pat’s death. In 2003, she moved back to Pella to be closer to her family.
Grace is survived by her sister Mildred (Wilfred) Renaud of Pella, her brother Larry Huff of Montezuma and his fiancée Judi Dolezal of Ely, her brother Dick (Bernardine) Huff of Tiffin, and several nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, her husband, and one niece.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Montezuma Jackson Church of Christ. Memorials may be sent to the family or the Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Pella.
