Sully 4th of July Schedule

Saturday, July 2

8:15 a.m: Tractor Ride line up on north side of Sully square, route to be announced.

10 a.m.-10 p.m.: Van Wijk Winery Open House at 802 4th St. with 6-9 p.m. “Cheeseburgers in Paradise,” catered by Smokin’ J’s BBQ.

2 p.m.: Softball Tournament at Sully Ballpark.

9:30 p.m. or dusk: Fireworks launched in southeast part of Sully. Rain date: July 4.

Sunday, July 3

6 p.m.: Community Worship at Sully Central Park led by Pastor Brian Ochsner of Sully Christian Reformed Church. Coffee and cookies to follow; take lawn chairs. Rain location: Sully Christian Reformed Church.

Monday, July 4

7 a.m.-3 p.m.: Fly-In at Sully Airport, weather dependent.

7–9:30 a.m.: Faithwalkers Breakfast at the Sully Community Center.

8-10 a.m.: 21st Annual Freedom Fun Run/Walk and Kiddie Run – starting and ending on the west side of the Sully square, 8 a.m., one mile run/walk; 8:20 a.m., 5K run/walk; 9:10 a.m., free kids’ run around the square for ages eight and under. An awards ceremony will take place following the races.

8 a.m.: Free coffee and donuts served by Garden Thyme Club at Deep Rock Station.

8-10 a.m. and 11 a.m.–noon: Old Hardware Building Open House – the public is invited to view the restoration progress of the old hardware building on the south side of the Sully square.

8:30 a.m.: Parade Registration at the Sully First Reformed Church south parking lot. Kiddie parade entries meet by the Deep Rock Station.

9-10 a.m. AND 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Carnival Games and Inflatables in Sully Central Park sponsored by Inspirations Childcare and Preschool.

9:50 a.m.: Opening Ceremony including opening prayer, National Anthem, flag raising, and cannon firing.

10-11 a.m.: Parade and Kiddie Parade Parade route: From the church, go west to the square, turn left and around the east, south, and west sides and one more block north of the square, then go east back to the church.

10 a.m.-6 p.m. Open House at Van Wijk Winery, 802 4th Street.

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Meal by Sully Lions Club in Central Park. Tent seating will be available. Benefit for Ryan Baarda’s cancer treatment and ongoing medical bills.

11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Deep Rock Ice Cream Shoppe open.

11 a.m.: Area Firefighters’ and Kids’ Water Fights near the Fire Station.

1-5 p.m.: Antique Tractor Pull at Sully Business Park on west edge of Sully.
