Four golfers hit holes-in-one this season at the DTGC

It’s a rare feat, but four golfers made holes-in-one happen at the Diamond Trail Golf Club this season. According Cathy Fraker of the DTGC, four aces in one season has only happened one other year in Lynnville back in 2003. Even more unusual, three of those holes-in-one came in one month’s time. The most recent hole-in-one shot was made by Jerry Kunce on hole #8 last Friday, Aug. 26. This was the same hole Nick Beyer aced about a month earlier on July 30. The two other holes-in-one this season both came on hole #3 – by Donna Zylstra a few weeks ago on Aug. 9 and by Tim Zylstra early in the season on Mar. 25. All will receive or have received golden putters sponsored by 1st State Bank.

Fraker shared a few other interesting facts about aces at the DTGC, “In 2000, there were three [holes-in-one] and two were the same person! Two other years, we’ve had three – so it’s not uncommon, and a couple of years we’ve had none.”
