Football team launches good character award

The Lynnville-Sully football team is teaming up with elementary and middle school teachers to recognize students who display good character traits by launching the Blue Shirt Award. Each week, teachers at the middle school and elementary levels may nominate a student who has shown good character. That name is put into a weekly drawing and on Friday, two varsity football players award a blue shirt to the winners and talk about how important it is to be a person of good character. The first winners of the Blue Shirt Award are Noah Johnson, seventh grade, and Jaiden Richards, third grade. The two received a blue T-shirt which they can proudly wear while cheering on the Hawks. The Blue Shirt Award is also something given out among the varsity football team. Varsity players award up to three shirts to teammates who exhibit good character throughout the week. The shirts are awarded during the week of practice or on Friday night. Congratulations, Blue Shirt Award winners, on displaying good character and representing Lynnville-Sully well.
