SCS Food and Fun Night raises $23,000 for tuition

Supporters of Christian education showed up with generous hearts for Sully Christian School’s annual Food and Fun Night Saturday evening, Feb. 3.

Over 360 people attended the event that included a freewill donation meal, live and silent auctions, carnival games, and kid-friendly entertainment from Tom Terrific, the balloon man, and Greg Beekhuizen, a PCHS teacher who amazed kids with his cool science experiments.

Following a hot dog or hamburger meal with all of the fixings, the family fun began as children went from one carnival game to the next. Throughout the evening, a silent auction took place with the live auction concluding the event. Hot ticket auction items included the Mexico all-inclusive vacation, donated by Larry and Joan Pleima, which garnered $2,600, and Jeff and Sue Pastoor’s delicious “Winner Winner, Pick a Dinner,” which earned a top bid of $1,000.

Food and Fun Night organizers say this year’s event raised $23,000, which goes to the met goal for tuition fundraising.
